for grandma

So im on twitter now, http://twitter.com/sirzerty
im mostly looking to find an alternative to facebook via twitter+blogging
anyway...

I went back home on Tuesday this week after classes because my grandma is now in hospice due to recently discovered cancer growing near her liver. So the whole family on her side is here saying their goodbyes and me and my brother are just trying to make things easier on my mom, who is already freaking out over trying to stay calm over grandma, feeding 25 people, and cleaning even though we tried to tell her that we would handle everything. The nurses say she doesn't have too long left. She got to see all her family this week and I think it was a blessing because if it had happened suddenly she wouldn't have been able to see them all. I didn't know too much about my grandma but we got everyone telling stories about her, the top ones being that she used to date a rich man in Germany who owned a castle and was very kind and apparently one hell of a person to know. We just got into the good part of that story before people started to branch off and head back to the hotel but i'll try to get pictures posted.
Me and my brother backed up all our best family photos using a scanner and saved them. Once we photoshop them and blow them up they should look quite nice.
I know my grandma doesn't have too much longer on this earth, but she isn't in pain and she has been smiling a lot more than she used to when she didn't live with us, I'm just sad we couldn't have moved her back sooner.

(not the actual castle, im still looking for a picture of it, if all else fails i'll call in a favor from my pen-pal)

On the bright side her alzheimers seems totally gone, she remembers everyone and is glad they came all the way here.

Figure you life out!

So I decided to become a Veterinarian. Not an easy task, but it's going to be cheaper than medical school X_X

Im going to start karate club this week hopefully, It actually only costs half of what I thought it did.
:D yay...

stuff i can do :D (well for the most part, similar style)

The best part about the escrima sticks, is that you can use a ball-point pen to disarm somebody.

Homework marathon X_X

I finally caught up on It's always sunny in Philadelphia, and now I want to move there and open a bar. Fantasies aside, I spent most of the day doing homework and listening to hella old music...when I say hella old I'm speaking of Gregorian chant old. It really sucks, although the middle ages aren't nearly as bad music wise...
So, I am thinking about switching my major...again...on the other hand it would suck to peruse a career i don't really want.
~~~~SEGWAY~~~~
So, I always wondered why colleges don't allow you to spend a day with a researcher or mathematician, artist or whatever you wanted to learn, just to get a feel for what you would be getting into, because I thought I could go into biology and just start doing genetics without all the dissection and boring and mostly useless stuff like that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I were to switch, it would be to history, but if that failed I'd just join the coast gaurd or something.

I really should have stuck with the original plan, film school, but I have no connections in Hollywood and so I would have to work what little creativity I have left into years of cinematography before I even get a poorly paying job as an lighting assistant.

Still in pain

My arms are still hurting like crazy, I can't even open doors X_X
Im amazed because I was doing a ton of lifting for work all summer.

I started watching It's always sunny in Philadelphia today, and I'm officially re-addicted to the show. I also have an overwhelming urge to open up a bar with my friends, and get into crazy antics.
Or maybe I should just buy the DvDs...

We had the best week ever in English class, the teacher turned over the class to a group of students that were supposed to do a one day presentation, but the discussion was soo epic, that it took 3 days. So the teacher spent the class time sitting with the students just observing, it had to do with freedom of speech, our group got sexuality in media and society. I'm not sure if the discussion will be as lengthy but it should be pretty interesting. Most people just had one opinion that was mostly locked in from the start, hopefully we can make people change their minds...not really sure which way yet, but It's kind of the objective.

Victory! and Gatorade?

I finally got around to customizing my ring tones for my phone, It takes a bit longer to do custom, because I don't use pre-made ones from those shady sites. Mostly because I don't want spam, and I hate having to give out my number.
Anyways, so far my default ring tone is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdmq5NpOP5E
I'm thinking of doing video game music as a theme, but I might mix it up with sappy love songs.

I attended a wind symphony that took half an hour to get to there and back, but it only lasted 25 minutes X_X, it was just done by students, and it wasn't anything great. I don't think im going back anytime soon.

Im 100% sure now that I want to join the Hapkido club, but it's going to cost an arm and a leg :/ $90 startup and $60 a month after that >_< I should have gotten a better paying job over the summer.

I finally got my Gatorade today, it will come in handy because I am being dragged to go work out after classes tomorrow, but it has to be done. Speaking of work, I stopped doing 3d animation, and flash so I might get back into that once I can find the discs to the programs :D
I didn't do too much with the 3d animation because models take forever to build, and the best animation was of a spaceship flying through some kinda nebula, I have the test recording up on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWTor_z5tJo) , but I lost the full one when my comp crashed. The model isn't mine, but the animations are :D

I can't wait for Star Trek XI, and Cloverfeild wasn't as bad as people said, so it could be epic.
well the roomate is trying to sleep so I better let him...updates on more useless info tomorrow!

Arms turned into buttery noodles

Hard to type, arms can't reach keyboard.
Well I got to workout yesterday, but I'm paying for it today X_X
I tried to dissect a starfish, but the shaky hands made for a few bad cuts...needless to say im not a surgeon, but the aching arms didn't help things.

Still reading up on the election, so far I haven't really heard anything bad about McCain other than he's old, and I've heard nothing but bad things about Obama, so I hope to remedy that before I vote. I wouldn't want a person who simply slings mud better.

The attempted trip to the rec

Well I woke up today wanting to work out, since it was 7am at the time, I thought I'd put it off till like noon. Noon came around, I got all ready to go and on my way out I figured I'd hit up the Gatorade machine. Aparently it doesn't accept $5 dollar bills, so I ran back up to my room 5 flights up to get some quarters, It doesn't accept quarters either. I thought the machine in Douglas hall did, so I jogged there, nope...then I ran to the rec...not there either. So went over to the quick-e-mart and looked for some there, but it was expensive as hell.

Aparently my plans half failed and half worked, running around looking for gatorade in the hot sun all day is a good workout! But you don't look like a crazy person if you're on a treadmill. I'll finish the quest for Gatorade and a decent workout later today.

UPDATE:
I got to the rec, john came with and we ended up turning my arms into noodles.
after heavy lifting and curls I hit the treadmil finally!
it was legendary....but I never got my gatorade.... :(
